The Real-Life "Idiot" Mystery Solved by Doyle

Sir Arthur Conan Doyle was once approached by a wealthy woman who was absolutely terrified because her expensive pearls had vanished from her locked bedroom drawer. She suspected her staff of complex, criminal espionage. Doyle agreed to take a look, walked into the room, examined the drawer, and looked under the cabinet.
